Sako Quad Synthetic .22LR
Product Description
The Quad rifle from renowned Finnish firearms manufacturer Sako, brought in an innovative system which allows you to switch between any of four calibres (.17HM2, .17HMR, .22LR and .17HMR) in seconds by changing the colour-coded magazine and barrel with the tool provided. This feature was originally intended to be used in conjunction with a special Burris Quad scope that enabled you to swiftly switch between four zeroes (one per barrel) without having to write down your click values. Whatever you think of the concept, the Quad is a very accurate and well manufactured rifle that feels like a scaled-down centrefire rather than a typical rimfire. The rifle's barrel is hammer-forged, free floating and threaded for a sound moderator. The trigger is the same adjustable, single pull unit used on Sako's centrefires. The safety is located at the rear of the bolt for convenience. The bolt has an exceptionally smooth operation with a 50 degree lift and the receiver is grooved for scope mounts. The rifle comes with a 5 round magazine as standard, but 10 round (.17HM2 and .22LR) and 9 round (.17HMR and .22WMR) magazines are available. The price includes one barrel and magazine and a hard case that takes the rifle and the full set of barrels.
The Quad synthetic features a standard weight 22" glass-fibre reinforced copolymer polypropylene stock with a buttplate system that enables length of pull adjustment by means of spacers. The straight straight stock features ambidextrous palm swell.
